The challenge

The firm had a solid reputation and a strong referral pipeline, but a website that did them no favours, dated, slow on mobile, and built more like a brochure than a tool that actually generated work.

Prospective clients who landed on it couldn't quickly understand which practice areas the firm covered, what to do next, or why they should pick up the phone. The enquiry form was buried, the copy spoke to other lawyers rather than to clients, and nothing about the experience reflected the standing of the firm behind it.

The brief: a new site that looked the part, loaded fast, and was built around a single job, turning the right visitors into enquiries.

Our approach

Rather than reach for a template or page-builder, our software engineer built the site from scratch in custom code — fast, lightweight, and fully under the firm's control, with nothing locking them into a proprietary platform.

  • Mapped the site around the firm's core practice areas, with a dedicated, conversion-focused page for each
  • Rewrote the copy to speak to clients and their problems, not to other lawyers, with a clear next step on every page
  • Designed enquiry CTAs into the natural reading flow rather than hiding them in a contact page
  • Hand-coded the whole site with responsive layouts, considered motion, and accessible, semantic markup
  • Tuned for performance and Core Web Vitals so the site loads fast on mobile, where most enquiries start
  • Wired up form tracking and analytics so the firm can see which pages and practice areas actually drive enquiries
